1. Who we are
Waytori is a place-first travel and food sharing service operated from Georgia, United States. In these terms, “Waytori”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of waytori.com. “You” means the person using the service. Contact us at hello@waytori.com.
2. Beta & availability
Waytori is early software. Features may change, break or become unavailable, and content may be lost. Keep your own copies of photos, videos and writing. Do not rely on Waytori as your only travel plan or backup.
3. Who can use Waytori
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required where you live. If you are below the age of majority, use Waytori only with a parent or guardian’s involvement and any permission your local law requires. You may not evade a previous account termination.
4. Your account
Use accurate account information and protect your sign-in details, including the Google account you use to sign in. Tell us promptly if you believe someone has gained unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person or business.
Optional Instagram and YouTube profile links must be your own. Do not use them to impersonate others, send spam or disguise advertising or affiliate links.
5. Your content & our permission to use it
You keep ownership of what you post. You give Waytori a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, display, format and distribute it to operate the features you use. We may also display public content to promote Waytori; this does not make private messages or restricted content available for public promotion.
This permission follows your sharing choices. It includes delivering content to followers, Route collaborators and people viewing or copying a Route you publish or share. You confirm you have the necessary rights and permissions for your photos, videos, text and any other material you provide.
The licence ends when you delete your content or account, except as needed for limited backup, legal or security retention and copies you previously authorized through sharing features. Deletion cannot recall independent Route copies, screenshots or content others have shared outside Waytori.
6. Honest reviews & travel information
Reviews should reflect a real experience. Do not invent visits, buy or sell fake reviews, manipulate ratings, or offer rewards that depend on a positive or negative review. Clearly disclose a free meal, gifted stay, payment, employment, ownership, family relationship or other connection that could affect how readers assess your recommendation. Make the disclosure easy to see in the review itself.
Reviews express their authors’ opinions. We do not verify every review or place detail. Waytori is not a booking service or an emergency service. Check opening hours, prices, reservations, accessibility, dietary needs and travel conditions directly with the relevant business or authority. Businesses can report information they believe is inaccurate.
7. Community rules
Do not post unlawful, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit content, threats, encouragement of violence or self-harm, or someone else’s private information without permission. Do not pass off another person’s work as your own, send spam or unsolicited advertising, scrape the service, bypass access restrictions, or interfere with accounts, systems or data.
These rules apply to toris, comments, messages, Routes, invitations and collaborative notes. Respect messaging and follower settings. Stop contacting someone who asks you to stop.
8. Messages & followers-only toris
Direct messages are intended for the people in the conversation. They are stored by the service and are not end-to-end encrypted. We may access them to investigate a report, protect the service or comply with law. We do not use private messages for advertising.
Followers-only settings restrict who can view a tori through the service. Follow approval is a separate setting: enable it if you want to choose who becomes a follower. People with access can still copy or screenshot content. Profile information, comments on public content, public Routes and independently shared copies are not made private by changing your tori visibility.
9. Routes, invitations & public copies
Private planning: a Route draft is private until you invite collaborators or publish or share it. Collaborators can see the shared plan and its notes; editing depends on their assigned role. Invite links can be used by signed-in people who possess the link, so share them carefully. Revoking a link prevents future joins; remove existing members separately when you want to end their access.
Publishing: publishing creates a public snapshot of the Route’s selected places, photos and itinerary details. Calendar dates are presented as day numbers, and collaborative notes are excluded. Review the publication preview before confirming. Later edits to your private plan appear publicly when you publish an update.
Sharing and copying: someone who copies a Route receives an independent plan. Changes to or deletion of your original do not change their copy. Selected place details and photos may be included even when the source tori is restricted; this does not give the recipient access to the complete original tori.
10. Reports & moderation
We may restrict content or accounts that violate these terms, threaten safety or create legal risk. Where practical and permitted, we aim to explain our decision. You may ask us to review a decision by emailing hello@waytori.com with the relevant account or content link and why you believe it was mistaken.
Places are shared records. We may correct a map pin or mark a place closed after reviewing a report; this can affect the place information attached to existing toris. We do not otherwise rewrite your review, photos or ratings.
11. Copyright complaints
Send copyright complaints to hello@waytori.com. A DMCA notice should include your signature; identification of the copyrighted work; the disputed material and enough detail to locate it; your address, telephone number and email; a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized; and a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner.
If removal was a mistake, a counter-notice should include your signature, the removed material and its former location, your name, address and telephone number, and a statement under penalty of perjury of your good-faith belief in the mistake or misidentification. Include consent to the federal court jurisdiction for your address or, outside the U.S., where the service provider may be found, and acceptance of service from the claimant or their agent.
We may forward notices and counter-notices to the other party. Where the DMCA process applies, restoration generally occurs 10–14 business days after receipt of a valid counter-notice unless we receive notice of a court action seeking to restrain the infringement. We terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
12. Third-party services
Google sign-in, maps, linked websites and other third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their availability or content. A link or user recommendation does not imply Waytori endorses the destination.
13. Leaving Waytori
You can request account deletion from Settings. Identity checks may include your password and an email code. If you sign in with Google or cannot complete those checks, contact us for help. See the Privacy Policy for retention limits and what happens to shared copies. We may suspend or end access for violations or if the service closes.
14. Warranties & liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Waytori is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, perfect security or accurate user content.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages or lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to US$100. These limits do not exclude liability or consumer rights that the applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
15. Claims caused by your conduct
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover losses, costs and reasonable legal fees arising from third-party claims caused by content you post or your violation of these terms or the law. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own wrongdoing.
16. Disputes & applicable law
Contact us first and give us 30 days to try to resolve a dispute informally, unless urgent relief or a legal deadline requires earlier action. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court. Disagreements with other users or businesses are between those parties, though we may review reported content.
Georgia law governs these terms, without its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia. This does not remove mandatory protections or rights to use local courts that apply where you live.
17. Updates, feedback & other terms
We may change or discontinue features. If we close the service entirely, we will make reasonable efforts to let you export your content first. Suggestions you voluntarily send may be used without payment; do not send confidential ideas.
We will post revised terms with a new date and ask you to accept material changes before you continue using the account. You can decline by stopping use and requesting deletion. Changes do not waive rights you already have under applicable law.
These terms are the agreement about your use of Waytori. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. Delayed enforcement is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the service and will notify you.

This overview is a guide. Read below for details, exceptions and your choices.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how the operator of Waytori, based in Georgia, United States, handles personal information at waytori.com. It covers visitors and account holders. Questions and requests can be sent to hello@waytori.com.
2. Account & profile information
Signing in: we process your email, account identifier and authentication information. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider as hashes, not readable passwords. If you use Google, we receive the account information Google returns for sign-in, such as an identifier, email, name or profile image. We do not receive your Google password.
Your profile: a handle, optional photo, Instagram and YouTube links, and your account settings. “Usual spot” is an optional city and state used to prefill new posts; the saved preference itself is not public, but a location you include in a published post follows that post’s visibility.
Food roots: you may add up to two places to describe your food perspective. This can suggest personal background and is publicly visible where displayed on your profile or toris. It may be used by readers to filter posts. It is optional and can be changed or cleared in Settings; it is not used for advertising.
3. Content, connections & Routes
We store content you provide, including writing, photos, video clips, places, addresses, ratings and comments. We also process grows, saves, follows, follow requests, direct messages, reports, moderation activity and agreement records such as document versions and acceptance information.
Routes can include destinations, chosen photos, dates, times, collaborators, roles, invitation details, notes and revision information. Public Route snapshots and independent copies are separate from the original private draft. Invitations and membership activity are used to manage access and show relevant notifications.
4. Location & usage information
Device location is optional. If you enable “Show my location”, your browser uses your position for the map and sends rounded coordinates to Photon to identify your area. Waytori does not save your device coordinates to your account. You can turn the feature off and revoke browser location permission. Place addresses you enter are processed separately to locate the place on the map.
Usage statistics: we record opened screens and associated place, tori or search identifiers, time, phone/desktop category, browser language and the referring site’s hostname on the first page of a visit. Search text may be recorded, so avoid entering private or sensitive information in search. Statistics may be associated with your account when you are signed in.
A random visit identifier is kept in browser session storage. It is scoped to a tab, though browsers can restore sessions. These statistics are used to understand and improve Waytori, not for advertising; they do not include an IP-address field. Separately, hosting, delivery and security providers receive ordinary request information such as IP address and browser details.
5. Why we use information
- Authenticate accounts and deliver the posts, messages, maps and Route features you choose.
- Organize and recommend places, remember preferences and understand feature use.
- Handle reports, prevent abuse, maintain security and comply with legal obligations.
- Send service emails, including verification, password reset and account-deletion codes.
- Send occasional product emails only when you opt in. You can withdraw that choice without affecting necessary service emails.
Where a law requires a legal basis, the basis depends on the purpose: providing the service you request, legitimate interests such as security and improvement, legal obligations, or consent where required. You may contact us to ask which basis applies to a particular use. Optional marketing consent can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing.
6. Who can see what you share
Public: your handle, profile photo, optional social links and food roots, follower/following lists, public toris and activity on public content. Your account email and saved usual-spot preference are not displayed publicly. Information you choose to write in public content is public even if it is normally an account detail.
Followers-only toris: these are restricted to followers through the service. Turn on follow approval if you want to approve new followers. This setting does not hide your public profile, comments on public content, published Routes or already shared copies.
Messages and collaboration: messages are intended for conversation participants; Route plans and collaborative notes are available to authorized members. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Access may also be necessary for reports, security or legal requirements.
Public Routes: publishing exposes the selected itinerary details and photos. Calendar dates are shown as day numbers and collaborative notes are excluded. A copied Route belongs to the recipient as an independent plan. Unpublishing or deleting the original does not recall copies or screenshots. Media already delivered or shared by URL can also remain in browser or delivery caches for a time.
7. Providers & other disclosures
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We use providers to operate the service:
- Supabase: account authentication, database and file storage.
- Netlify: website hosting and delivery.
- Bunny.net: image delivery and video storage, delivery and streaming.
- Email delivery providers, including Resend: account and service emails.
- Google: optional account sign-in and fonts loaded by the website.
- OpenFreeMap and geocoding providers: map tiles and address lookup through Photon, OpenStreetMap Nominatim or the U.S. Census Bureau.
Your browser also requests supporting code from content-delivery services such as jsDelivr. These requests, fonts and map requests expose ordinary connection information, including your IP address, to the receiving provider. Address lookups send the place address, and location-based lookups send rounded coordinates; they do not require your account name.
We may disclose information to comply with valid legal process, investigate abuse or protect people and the service. We will notify you where appropriate and legally permitted. If the service is acquired or reorganized, information may transfer with it, subject to this policy and applicable notice requirements. Linked websites and Google’s own account services have separate privacy policies.
8. Browser storage & privacy signals
We use browser storage for sign-in sessions, preferences, visit identifiers, pending invitations and locally saved Route drafts. Some information can remain on the device until it expires or is cleared. On a shared device, sign out and consider clearing site data; clearing it may also remove unsynced drafts.
We do not use advertising cookies or follow your browsing across unrelated websites for advertising. “Do Not Track” does not currently change the service’s behaviour. Where applicable law requires us to honour a Global Privacy Control signal for sale or sharing, we do so; our current practice is not to sell or share information for cross-context behavioural advertising. A privacy signal does not disable storage needed for sign-in or every form of first-party usage measurement.
9. Retention & deletion
We keep account information and content while needed to provide your account and chosen features. Retention also depends on unresolved reports, security needs, legal obligations and disputes. We keep identifiable information only as long as needed for those purposes; usage statistics are retained for up to about 13 months.
Deleting a post removes it from normal display. Account deletion removes access to the account and starts removal of associated information. Removal from public display does not mean every storage copy, backup or delivery cache disappears immediately. Restricted copies and consent or moderation records may remain where needed for the purposes above; remaining data should be deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.
Independent Route copies, recipients’ own content, screenshots and off-platform shares are not automatically recalled. For questions about a specific message, photo, Route or retained record, contact us. Browser data on your own device may need to be cleared separately.
10. Your controls & requests
Use Settings to change profile and account details, manage privacy, download available account data or request account deletion. The download may not include every category; contact us if information you need is missing. Deletion requires identity verification; if Google sign-in or account access prevents you from completing it, email us for help.
Depending on your location and the laws that apply to Waytori, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a portable copy of information, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a privacy regulator. These rights can have exceptions. We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain any limits.
Where California privacy law applies, rights can also include opting out of sale or sharing, limiting certain uses of sensitive information and receiving non-discriminatory treatment. We do not currently sell or share information for cross-context behavioural advertising. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits.
Send requests to hello@waytori.com, preferably from your account email. We may ask for proportionate information to verify you or an agent’s authority. Never send a password or verification code. You can ask which information remains after a deletion request and why.
11. Children & security
Waytori is not intended for children under 13, or below any higher minimum age required locally. If you believe a child has provided information without the required permission, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
We use authentication, access controls and encrypted connections to protect information. No service or access setting guarantees perfect security. We will notify affected people of a breach when applicable law requires it.
12. International processing
Waytori operates from the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where their infrastructure operates. Privacy protections may differ from those where you live. Using the service does not waive your local rights. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, those requirements still apply; contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.
13. Changes & contact
We will update the date when this policy changes and provide notice of material changes. We may ask you to acknowledge a revised policy. If a new use requires consent, we will request that consent separately rather than treating acknowledgement of this policy as permission for every use.
